The Holidays are Upon Us

Samantha is more excited then Duane but the holidays are here. It's just the three of us now so it's a nice calm home. With Samantha working out and our household eating better there should be some fun holiday healthy recipies to be tested out :) Really trying to focus on our blessings this year then our downfalls. Really focusing on the point of the holidays then the consumerizm.

So far behind on our blog

Lots has happened to us this year. Samantha has been working out like a crazy woman and has lost 38 lbs this year. Duane has been running two venues and now is back down to one. Scarlet was sent to a Cattle Ranch to be happy and do what she was bread to do. Hudson is happy being the only doggie in the house again. Duane and Samantha are happy to not have all the doggie drama in the house. No baby news yet, and we are ok with that. Samantha is on such a role that we want her healthy and happy prior anyways. Ummmm another Cali vacation happened in October and Duanes birthday just happened which was good times.... More to follow with the holidays

April 2012 Vacation

Well Duane and I went to our San Diego Condo for 6 days... count them 6 whole days :). We dropped the kids (pups) at my folks for the week for their own vacation ha ha. It was a great relaxing trip. We pretty much laid around, swam, hot tubbed, Sam when to a Jazzercise class, and then there was one day we went into San Diego. On that day we had a great time walking around Old Town. Then we went into down town and walked around there as well. All in all it was a relaxing trip. We are glad to be back to normal life but it's always nice to visit down there.

Happy 1st Birthday, Scarlett Jo!

Around March 1st, Our baby girl turned 1!!! She has had a very challenging first year but ended it healthy and very very happy!

Holidays in the Thomas Household

The holidays were actually enjoyable this year. We got to see many family members and enjoy many laughs. I believe Santa spoiled our dogs with more raw hides then anything else. They are happy kids. Life is good. Love is in abundance... Next... Samantha's Birthday on Jan 23rd. We are preparing for a fun weekend. Hopefully the dogs cooperate :)

Fall

As we get into fall we celebrate many MANY birthdays in our family. The most important though being Duane's on the 29th of October. This year we are taking a vacation to celebrate his birthday in San Diego... of course a Disneyland trip is included! I'm sure pics will follow.

I did however wanted to update since I hadn't since July. Scarlett on July 2nd got very very sick. We took her in and found out she had Parvo. She went down from 26 lbs to 19 in a week. She had to be hospitalized for a week (Hardest week I've had to deal with in a long time). Below is a pic the day she got back from the hospital:


Well now she is a Parvo survivor, clear and free. She weighs 40 lbs and is eating well. She's very playful and LOVES to play fetch. Hudson is a midget now in comparison. Here's a cute pic of them both taken a few weeks ago:


So right now we are a happy little family. We haven't done any additional home improvements because life is what happens while you are busy making other plans. But for now we are all safe, healthy, and looking forward to the holiday season.

Family update and Our 2nd Anniversery

So I think that miracle grow worked because Scarlett is growing like a weed.
Here she is next to Hudson so you can see in comparison. She's now 4 months old!

She now sits when commanded and knows stay. Which is great because she used to charge at her food and now she waits till we tell her just like Hudson.

This weekend we will welcome a new Niece into our family on Duane's side. We are super excited to finally meet this precious baby girl. We've been going a little overboard on clothes and hair accessories. Bu a girl needs it all right?

July 4th is our 2nd Anniversary, but this month also marks the 6th year we've been together. We have been eating better, working out, and enjoying life as we can. We are truly blessed to have each other and it's great to have someone to laugh with. We are looking forward to a Disneyland trip in October and maybe more home improvements before the end of the year.
